ABOUT THE STEP DOCTOR

A cement finisher by trade, The Step Doctor has 30 years of experience in a large Milwaukee facilities maintenance department, and has skillfully repaired steps at municipal and private buildings throughout the city.  With expertise gained from 44 years of concrete experience he uses techniques that will allow for a long lasting repair to concrete steps, and not just a short term solution.  

Only a repair that is secured to the existing concrete will provide longevity. The Step Doctor will grind down the loose and damaged concrete and drive steel into the strong parts of the step in order to keep the new section securely bonded.  The Step Doctor can even work with dyes to allow for closer color matching.

Repair Process

  • remove loose broken concrete

  • saw edges of concrete for thickness at edge

  • install galvanized anchors and lightweight rebar

  • form and pour fast setting, high strength concrete mix
